Financial Analysis, Controls, and Accounting in Publishing

Designed to provide an understanding of the financial tools required for publishing success. Using case studies from both the book and magazine industries, the course examines such topics as accounting principles and procedures, financial ratios, profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting. Explores operating costs and new product development expenses in relation to different income sources of digital information services and multimedia projects.
