Editing Periodicals
Registration Information

3 credits

An intensive analysis of the demanding tasks performed by editors-evaluation, acquisition, manuscript editing, interaction with noneditorial departments, including finance, marketing, production, and management, working with agents and legal departments, and other tasks within the overall publishing organization. Students edit, develop, plan, and pitch story ideas in order to have a thorough understanding of the mutlifaceted job of magazine editors.
