The Internet and the World Wide Web provide the basis for a broad range of new online publishing programs. This course focuses on publishing information services, journals, magazines, and newsletters delivered online. It analyzes how publishers have developed online information and products that address the three major markets of business/professional, education/ training, and consumer/trade segments. Content development, information storage/retrieval software, establishing online subscribers, and advertising on the Web are explored. Case studies of success stories and problem transitions from print to online are reviewed. 2.0 CEU.
