Book Editing
Registration Information

3 credits

Students examine and experience the demanding editorial tasks performed by book editors. Topics include: book acquisitions, manuscript editing, editor-author responsibilities, the noneditorial departments of a book publishing house-including sales and marketing, literary agents, book design, book producers, publicity and lecture agents, book and trade promotional events, editorial interpreters, the book review process, and an analysis of book industry niches.
