The course explores for publishers the opportunities of marketing and distributing electronic products and information services. Sessions focus on defining the electronic markets and nwe businesses in the fast-forward industry, then move into developing market plans that redefine the "traditional" rules. Models are provided for promoting and distributing products through the World Wide Web, online catalogs, e-mails, listserves, and hyperlinking to other sites. Examples of publishing companies who have developed innovative electronic marketing techniques are reviewed.
