This overview teaches you how to develop marketing plans and strategies to achieve maximum book sales through all the distribution channels-trade, retail, wholesale, special sales, library, education, and international. Taught by a veteran marketer with trade, mass market, and reference book experience, this course shows you how to integrate advertising, publicity, subrights, conventions, telemarketing, and sales promotion to market a book or list. Topics include: marketing's role in the editorial development of a book; budgeting; research; list shaping; packaging; pricing; and sales forecasting.
