MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PUBLISHING
New York City is the world center of the publishing industry. The graduate program in publishing is designed to educate a new generation of managers to lead companies in this industry. These managers, while broadly trained, are especially sensitive to the application of new technologies.
COURSE OF STUDY
The Master of Science in Publishing was developed through the joint efforts of New York University and a distinguished group of industry leaders. To obtain the degree, a student completes 38 credits of graduate education chosen from a required core of courses in the functional areas of publishing and a concentration in either book or magazine publishing. For all students, the final capstone course permits them to pursue a research project centered in the industry, company, or specific area of most value to them.

PART II - CONCENTRATION 1: BOOK PUBLISHING
The Book Publishing Concentration consists of four courses. After a student has finished their core courses, they may proceed to conentrate in either Book, Magazine or Electronic Publishing.
One must take a minimum of nine credits to concentrate in Book Publishing.
