BIO:
President of BKB Publications Inc., publishers of Credit Union News, Checklist, Todayís Pawnbroker, and MPC World magazines. He spent 21 years at The Readerís Digest Association before setting out as an entrepreneur in 1990. Beginning as an accountant at Readerís Digest, Mr. Burkart worked both domestically and internationally in accounting, finance, marketing, and corporate planning before becoming vice president/general manager and member of the Board of Directors of five Readerís Digest subsidiaries, including Retirement Living Publishing Company, Inc.; Home Service Publications, Inc.; Travel Publications, Inc.; QSP, Inc.; and RD Publications, Inc. He was also director of the Readerís Digest Special Interest Magazine Group, which published Travel-Holiday, The Family Handyman, and New Choices for the Best Years.
