Developing New Online
Businesses for Publishers
The Second Management Seminar for European Publishers
The Internet has and continues to reshape the publishing industry in rapid and dramatic ways thus challenging small and large publishing companies to change the way they do business. Some publishers have taken the initial exploratory steps and others are moving forward to expand their Internet presence. In each situation, it is imperative for managers to know how to develop strategies for online editorial content, marketing, digital distribution, and revenue streams for their companies.
This second annual seminar will address the key business issues that revolve around the new technological developments and actual applications in the information industry. In February 2000, the New York University's Center for Publishing brought start-up companies and publishers who had established online information services together in Florence for the first management seminar. You are now invited to participate in the second meeting for a ten part program that will address the key issues of online businesses specifically designed for the publishing industry.
Case studies will be presented to help you understand the changing arena, adapt technological changes, and develop e-business capabilities without disrupting your present core publishing programs.
